NEW DWELLING

CLArchitects designed a new dwelling in place of a bungalow perched on the north downs above Folkestone.

 

The replacement dwelling responded to its unique setting by taking advantage of the fantastic views and slope of the site.

 

The design response was to locate the living space and kitchen on the first floor offering views over Folkestone and the Chanel Sea and direct access to the rear gardens.

 

To the ground floors are the bedrooms, bathrooms and cinema room where the house is docked into the landscape.

 

Externally the house is modern and finished in a combination of render and timber.
