2 NEW SUSTAINABLE DWELLINGS

The proposals are for 2 sustainable dwellings that are nestled in the landscape in Sandgate Folkestone.

The brief from the client was to design two energy efficient houses that have a minimal impact on the site in terms of energy usage and visual impact.

The houses include many sustainable technologies such as rainwater recycling, solar thermal panels along with ecological enhancements to the site including the planting of hedgerows, wildflower meadows, beehives and green roofs to the dwellings.

Externally the houses blend into the landscape and are finished in a combination of stone and timber cladding along with the sedum roof.
